Costume Contest – Mountain Hounds

Dress your greyhound (and yourself) in your best costume! The contest has awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Best Individual and Best Group categories. Contestants may sign up to participate at registration, anytime in the RooBucks store or just before the judging on the Mynatt Park basketball court.

Judging Criteria

Originality

Pick a theme that works for your hound or your pack. Characters (movie stars, action heroes, historical figures, alter egos) welcome. Make us laugh. Make us swoon. Impress us.

Craftiness

We love to see homemade costumes. Design and create something that works for your dog’s personality. While fit and finish are considered, creativity in design and construction are more important.

Presentation

We like to see the dogs enjoy being the center of attention as they prance around. If wearing a costume makes your hound miserable or stressed, please don’t force him/her to participate.
